We are heading back to Legends on the Farmington in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, for 2 days of guided fishing on the Farmington River! We will have the entire lodge, located right on the banks of the river, all to ourselves. The lodge and our rooms will be available at 2pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Come in, drop off your bags and meet us out back. We will be fishing at Greenwoods Pool for some of the huge brown trout found in this river! 

This trip fills quickly every time we offer it for good reason. The Farmington is a world class destination with cool water and pristine shores. Bugs are abundant and the brown trout are huge! It’s not always easy, but it is always rewarding. We fish as soon as we arrive, so come on in to the lodge, grab a quick bite, and meet us in the pool! Pack a headlamp, because the night fishing is not to be missed! Greenwoods pool has a sandy bottom and plenty of access points. Some of our largest trout have come from this pool.

We will be eating breakfast and dinner at the Lodge. We have full use of the kitchen and grill, and we eat a quick breakfast, brown bag our lunch and head out with our guides on Friday and Saturday. We will have six guides, so two anglers per guide. Our guides will split up the group so that we have the best chance to be successful. We will fish out back after dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This trip ends after breakfast on Sunday. 

Each angler will need a Connecticut Freshwater Fishing License, waders with a wading belt, wading boots, a wading staff, a 5 or 6 weight fly rod, reel, line, leaders & tippet. The trip leaders will recommend flies as the trip approaches. 

This trip is limited to 12 anglers and reserved for Juliana’s Anglers Sporting Club members in good standing. 

Trip cost covers food and lodging, guides, and guide tips. Cost is $ 1,155.00 per angler.
