Memories! I think it’s fair to say that JASC does lots of fun stuff. Mostly, we’re out fly fishing. But we also go bird watching, hiking, kayaking, hunting, and travel. And of course, we all want to preserve those moments. Here is our opportunity to learn from a true expert!
Jessie Johnson, is a professional expedition guide, film maker and marine naturalist. She is also a solo traveler, marine and wildlife photographer, and all-around bad ass whose work in images and film has appeared on National Geographic, BBC, and countless other places. (I also have it on good authority that her mother is a serious fly angler!) Jessie is going to put her world travels on a brief hold so that she can join our ranks for the Columbus Day weekend and conduct a private photo clinic in the Adirondack Mountains. The clinic will begin with a welcome dinner Friday night. Saturday and Sunday will be full clinic days followed by group dinners. Monday morning, we will all bid adieu and head home.
Beginners, experts and everyone else, welcome. What equipment do you need to bring? Well, Jessie doesn’t care what you use to take to photos/video. You can bring a smartphone, a film camera, a point & shoot, a DSLR, a mirrorless camera, or any other device you like to use to record images. In addition, bring a card reader and your laptop for image review. We’ll have a table set up for our computers.
Bring a healthy sense of humor and a willingness to learn.
This event is limited to 8 students and is restricted to JASC members. Your fee covers lodging, food, and Jessie.
Cost: $758 per person
